Last Day Of School For Baltimore County Modified: BCPS

The Baltimore County Board of Education has made a slight change to the schedule for the last day of school in 2017.

TOWSON, MD – On the last day of school in Baltimore County, all schools will close three hours early, the Board of Education determined. Previously, high schools had been slated to have a full day of classes.

The last day of school will be Tuesday, June 13, and schools will close three hours early for all students, according to a statement that Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) issued Thursday.

BCPS provided the following end-of-year schedule:

  • Friday, June 9 – Full day of classes. Last day for preschool-3 and prekindergarten students.
  • Monday, June 12 – Elementary and middle schools close three hours early. Full day for high schools.
  • Tuesday, June 13 – Final day of classes. All schools will close three hours early.

For the 2017–2018 school year, the first day of classes for students will be Tuesday, Sept. 5.

There will be a special orientation called "Early Entry Day" for students entering sixth and ninth grades on Wednesday, Aug. 30; more information will be forthcoming from schools.
