Rosedale Woman Has Been Found: Police

A 73-year-old woman who went missing Friday morning been located, Baltimore County police reported.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The woman who left her home in Rosedale Friday morning and was believed to have been headed to the hospital has been found, police reported Friday afternoon.

The 73-year-old was unharmed when she was located, according to officials.

Francine Sturms, 73, disappeared from her home in the 8000 block of Old Philadelphia Road, and authorities say they are actively searching the area. She left on foot around 9:30 a.m.

Sturms has medical conditions that may cause her to become disoriented or confused, and she may have been headed toward Franklin Square Medical Center, officials said.

"She had previously made statements that she was going to walk to the hospital to see her husband, but he is not hospitalized, and he returned home to find her missing," police said in a statement Friday afternoon.

When last seen, Sturms was wearing pink shorts, a black shirt and tennis shoes with white socks. She is 5 feet 3 inches tall and 109 pounds with long hair that is dyed red, according to police.
