Maryland Workweek Weather Forecast: Better By The Day

There's no need to fret all that much about the beginning of the work week. Monday likely will bring rain and clouds but as the week goes on, conditions are expected to get better and better. That's the word from the area arm of the National Weather Service.

Another bonus will be relatively comfortable temperatures, with highs in the low-mid 70s. After Monday, the rain chances decrease, with Thursday and Friday looking particularly sunny. But here's something of a warming, high heat and humidity arrive just in time for the weekend.

Here's the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. South wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 77. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Monday Night: A slight chance of showers before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday: A chance of showers after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. Northwest wind 6 to 8 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Wednesday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
