Maryland Weather Forecast: Pleasant Start To Workweek

MARYLAND — Our marvelous weekend weather extends into the beginning of the work week, according to the area branch of the National Weather Service. After Tuesday, however, matters become a bit more problematic.

Both Monday and Tuesday are expected to greet you with mostly sunny skies. Then the clouds make their move. As a result, look for a chance of showers for the remainder of the week. Temperatures should remain steady, albeit under a cloudy sky.

Here's the latest from the National Weather Service:

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 94. West wind 3 to 8 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 71. South wind 3 to 6 mph.

Tuesday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 94. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday Night: Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday: A slight chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 10am. Cloudy, with a high near 79. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Friday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
