Baltimore Ravens Sign Arena League Quarterback
The Baltimore Ravens confirmed the hiring of a backup while Joe Flacco is sidelined with an injury.

OWINGS MILLS, MD - With Ravens veteran quarterback Joe Flacco taking a time out to rest his back during preseason, the team needed to fill the void during practice.
After announcing that Flacco would likely be out a week on Thursday since he hurt his back while lifting in New Jersey, the Ravens confirmed Friday that the organization signed arena league football player David Olson.
Olson comes to the Ravens from the indoor league Kansas City Phantoms, according to the NFL Network, which reports he played college ball for Stanford then Clemson.

The decision to sign Olson has quelled chatter that the Ravens will sign former 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick, who was released by San Francisco during the off season.
Both candidates had Harbaugh coaching connections.
