Maryland Weather: Timeline For Storms, Sunshine This Weekend

This weekend is shaping up to a battle between the clouds and sun in Maryland. Friday night and Saturday could see rain drench the area.

Not only that, but temperatures will not be over-the-top hot, which is usually the case this time of year. Instead, highs throughout the weekend will be in the low 80s. Things begin to change Sunday when the sun comes out again.

Friday Afternoon: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 5pm, then scattered showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Southeast wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 8pm. Patchy fog after 2am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 70. Southeast wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 11am. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 84. Southwest wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Northwest wind 3 to 8 mph.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 66.

Monday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
