BALTIMORE, MD — A number of crossroads in Maryland could be contenders for the worst intersection ever. But there is one that stands above the rest as the most dangerous when it comes to fatal crashes — and it's in Baltimore.
The most dangerous intersection in Maryland is Gwynns Falls Parkway at Reisterstown Road, according to a recent survey. Data from the National Highway Travel Safety Administration was used in determining the ranking, as was crowd-sourced information. Researchers said that there were 46 crashes there in 2015.
Time Magazine compiled a list of each state's most dangerous intersection based on a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration study on fatal crashes, counting how many occurred within about 150 feet of one another between 2003 and 2012.
