Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Baltimore County
Roads will be slippery on Saturday in Baltimore County, the National Weather Service advised; a winter weather advisory has been issued.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Icy roads are possible Saturday in Baltimore County, and weather officials advise drivers to be prepared for slippery conditions. Snow-covered roads and limited visibility are expected.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory calling for 1 to 2 inches of snow from 2 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 30. The advisory includes Baltimore, Harford and Carroll counties.
Drivers should be extremely cautious, as visibility may be less than a mile at times and roads could be slick.

Those who must travel may want to prepare an emergency kit that includes a blanket. The weather service said that wind chills below freezing could cause frostbite and hypothermia this weekend.
"Forecast is calling for 1 to 2 inches of snow starting early Saturday morning," Baltimore County emergency management said in a statement Friday. "With temperatures below freezing, icy road conditions are possible."

The forecast for Baltimore County is calling for light snow after 10 p.m. on Friday, with up to 1 inch accumulating by Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
There is a chance of snow showers on Saturday after 10 a.m., with up to 1 inch of additional accumulation possible as well, the forecast says.
The National Weather Service is predicting temperatures will stay below freezing through the weekend and into the new year in Baltimore County. Be sure to have layers ready to stay warm.

- Sunday: High of 22, low of 10 degrees
