Citizens Police Academy Accepting Nominations

The Baltimore County Police Department's academy for citizens lasts 16 weeks.

TOWSON, MD - From The Baltimore County Citizen's Police Academy: The Citizens’ Police Academy’s primary objective is to afford an opportunity for community, business and religious leaders to become informed and educated about the many aspects of police work. The Academy is designed to give the attendees exposure as to why police respond to various situations in a particular way and how they ultimately handle those situations.

The Program consists of 16 sessions which includes 15 consecutive weekly evening classes (6:30-9:30 PM) and one Saturday class (9:00 AM-3:00 PM), March 7 through June 13 – Wednesday evenings. The Saturday date is pending at this time. The majority of the classroom sessions will be held at the Public Safety Building.

Nomination Forms will be accepted through February 16. Class size will be limited to a maximum of 50 attendees.
