Maryland Weather: Snow Likely First 2 Days Of Spring
Snowfall estimates have been released for the first day of spring in Maryland. Sigh.

BALTIMORE, MD — While Sunday gave us a taste of spring, the work week is another round of winter, with some snow and cool temperatures for the first two days of spring. Bundle up for a snowy start to the season with overnight lows below freezing. We likely won't see nearly as much precipitation or the damaging winds that the nor'easter brought to kick off March, but it certainly won't feel like spring.
A total of 1-3 inches of snow is expected to fall on the first day of spring Tuesday in parts of Maryland. We're talking about a nor'easter flirtation, with chances of snow on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service and other weather outlets. Snow estimates range for an inch or so close to Washington, D.C., to 2 to 3 inches in the Bel Air area.
Clouds should begin to move in Monday, and later in the day and into the night, there's a strong chance of rain. Highs will be hard-pressed to reach 45 and lows should be slightly below freezing Tuesday through Thursday. Spring, by the way, officially starts on Tuesday, March 20.

The Weather Channel breaks it down thusly: "By Tuesday night. . . low pressure should begin to take shape along the mid-Atlantic coast (and) snow or a rain and snow mix could affect a swath from the upper Ohio Valley into the mid-Atlantic region, including Washington, D.C. and Baltimore."
One thing meteorologists agree on so far is that the forecast is highly uncertain.

"The last two nor'easters moved northeast up the coast and impacted the northern mid-Atlantic and New England," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Mike Doll said. "The track of this storm is expected to be different and generally move from west to east across the mid-Atlantic."

So there you go. And once this stuff clears out, Thursday and Friday are expected to be cool but clear. Then the S-word reappears.
