MD Weekend Weather: Thunderstorms Will Give Way To Perfection

Friday is a dud but thunderstorms will give way to perfect MD weather this weekend. First we have to wait out hazardous weather conditions.

BALTIMORE, MD — While thunderstorms could bring gusty winds, heavy rain and flooding to parts of Maryland on Friday, they also have an upside: Knocking out the humidity and ushering in a picture-perfect weekend.

Temperatures Friday will be in the mid- to upper 80s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely as a cold front moves through the region, says the National Weather Service.

The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang says as the rains move out late in the day, the mugginess will evaporate and overnight temperatures will cool off.

"Fresh, dry, breathable air! Slowly rising temperatures that aren’t super hot. We may top out around 80 to perhaps mid-80s south of town," writes the Capital Weather Gang. "A couple of 70s? Northeasterly breezes around 10 mph may be noticeable early in the day but could taper slightly with time. Skies should be bright all day but may not turn mostly sunny until later in the afternoon."
