MD Oyster And Seafood Festivals, Restaurant Weeks This Fall

ANNAPOLIS, MD — From mountains oysters to a crab soup cookoff and a sampling of fine dining at restaurants across the state, Maryland has all sorts of wonderful food and restaurant events late summer and into the fall. Take your tastebuds to the Maryland Seafood Festival in Annapolis for music, foods and a crab soup cookoff, or head to restaurant weeks in Bethesda, Ocean City and Howard County. Or visit Mount Airy for a Harvestfest Cornhole Tournament with games and a beer garden.

Here's what coming up in the region, according to Maryland's official tourism site and the Restaurant Association of Maryland.

Maryland Seafood Festival: Sept. 8 & 9 - Sandy Point, Annapolis. The 51st Festival offers music, contests, flavorful foods, sand soccer, paddle-boarding, crab soup cook-off.

Taste the Beaches in Calvert County: Sept. 8 - Chesapeake Beach & North Beach. Showcases Chesapeake Beach & North Beach. Local restaurants, food trucks, Kids Zone, live music.

Baltimore Seafood Festival: Sept. 15 - Canton Waterfront Park, Baltimore. Food trucks and restaurants, Horseshoe Casino chef demos, family zone, live music.

Taste of Bethesda: Oct. 6 - Downtown Bethesda. More than 60 restaurants, stages for music and cultural entertainment, kid's corner, and Best of Bethesda Day.

Harvestfest Cornhole Tournament: Oct. 13 - Mount Airy. Come to the "Railyard" in historic Mount Airy. Compete in the tournament. Enjoy entertainment and a beer garden.

Ocean City Restaurant Week: Oct. 14-28 Restaurant Week features fixed price menu options. Dining options range from the clean and simple to fine dining.

US Oyster Festival - St. Mary's County: Oct. 20-21 Leonardtown Celebrate the 52nd year plus the opening of the Chesapeake Bay's oyster season. National Oyster Shucking Championships.

Fall Fest with Oysters in Rock Hall: Oct. 13 - Rock Hall A celebration of family, community and oysters. Music, crafts, food and fun and Kids' Court on Main Street.

North County Restaurant Week - North Anne Arundel County: Oct. 19-26 Highlights exceptional, diverse and high-quality dining experiences throughout North Anne Arundel County.

Taste of Howard County - Merriment in Masquerade - Ellicott City Oct. 21 Features delicious tastings from 20 Howard County restaurants and a live and silent auction.
