Air Quality Alert Reissued For Baltimore Metro
Certain people should avoid activities outside Monday due to the air quality, Maryland Department of the Environment officials advise.

Sensitive groups should avoid strenuous activity or exercise outside, according to the Maryland Department of the Environment, which has issued a code orange air quality alert. Officials issued the alert for Monday, Feb. 4, following another code orange declaration for Sunday, Feb. 3.
The alert means pollution concentrations could be unhealthy for certain individuals.
Those considered sensitive groups are children, the elderly and those with asthma, heart disease or lung disease.

By 11 a.m. on Sunday, the Maryland Department of the Environment said that the estimated particle pollution indicated the level was unhealthy for sensitive groups.
