BCPS Makes Weather Call For Monday, March 4

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Baltimore County Public Schools announced that there will be a two-hour delay in the Hereford Zone on Monday, March 4. Morning prekindergarten is canceled for schools in the Hereford Zone as well, according to authorities.

All other Baltimore County Public Schools will open on time.

Authorities cited icy conditions in making the decision to open late in the Hereford Zone.

Based on preliminary data submitted to the National Weather Service, 3 inches of snow were on the ground in Bentley Springs by Monday morning.

The Hereford Zone includes seven of Baltimore County's northernmost schools:

• Fifth District Elementary
• Hereford High
• Hereford Middle
• Jacksonville Elementary
• Prettyboy Elementary
• Seventh District Elementary
• Sparks Elementary
