Maryland Weather: Hazardous Outlook Issued For 7 Counties

Maryland's weekend weather forecast begins with isolated thunderstorms and gusts Friday night and then takes a turn for the better.

BALTIMORE, MD — Maryland's weekend weather forecast begins with a hazardous outlook issued by the National Weather Service for Friday night with a chance of thunderstorms and high winds possible, but improves in time for St. Patrick's Day weekend festivities.

Friday night could feature "scattered thunderstorms capable of producing strong winds," but such conditions will dwindle throughout the evening. Saturday, meanwhile, will offer mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 50s amid sporadic wind gusts. Saturday night's lows should be around freezing.

And Sunday? The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang predicts: "Skies range from partly to mostly sunny, although clouds may be increasing by sunset. Not bad!"
