Woman, 27, Dies After Essex Double Shooting: Police

Police said a Middle River woman died after a double shooting in Essex that happened over the weekend.

ESSEX, MD — Police said a woman has died after a double shooting over the weekend in Essex.

Jessica Holly Diotte, 27, of the 2100 block of Southorn Road in Middle River, was identified as the deceased, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Diotte was one of two people shot in the upper body in the 1100 block of Tace Drive, where officials said they were called for a report of a shooting before midnight on Saturday, April 27.

A man had also been wounded, and police reported Sunday that they were in serious condition.

The Baltimore County Police Department reported on Wednesday, May 1, that Diotte had died.

According to police, the suspect(s) left the scene Saturday night before law enforcement arrived.

The Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the shootings and ask anyone with information to call them at 410-307-2020.
