4 New Speed Cameras Installed In Baltimore County School Zones
Speed cameras will be operating during the summer on weekdays, according to Baltimore County police.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Four new speed cameras will go online starting Friday, July 12. Drivers will have 30 days to get adjusted. During this period, warnings will be issued.
Those who go more than 12 mph over the speed limit will receive warnings.
After 30 days, citations will be issued. So drivers beware: Citations will start Monday, Aug. 12.

The speed cameras will be in effect Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
They will be active during summer months and on all weekdays, even when schools are not in session.

Here are the four school zones where the cameras will go, according to the Baltimore County Police Department:
- Sandalwood Elementary School, 900 block of South Marlyn Avenue (southbound)
- Deep Creek Middle School, 1100 block of South Marlyn Avenue (northbound)
- Immaculate Heart of Mary School, 1700 block of Putty Hill Avenue (westbound)
- Victory Villa Elementary School, 500 block of Compass Road (southbound)
