Donated makeovers to the Baltimore Board of Child Care include renovations to its gym, multipurpose room and residential bathrooms.

BALTIMORE, MD — A home for Baltimore children has undergone renovations to its residential facilities plus amenities. The Board of Child Care home at 3300 Gaither Road in Baltimore was the focus of work by a group of businesses and contractors through the “Built Upon a Dream” program.

On Tuesday, Aug. 27, WMAR and participating businesses will unveil the renovations to the Board of Child Care’s gymnasium, weight room, recording studio and a multi-purpose room. Fencing also was around the perimeter of the BCC for safety and security, and six bathrooms were renovated in the resident cottages, according to a news release.

All team member companies donated time, labor, materials and supplies to get the job done. The “Built Upon a Dream” team includes sponsors: Manekin Construction, Whiting-Turner, Hord Coplan Macht, T. Rowe Price, Bath Fitter, Fence & Deck Connection as well as a number of sub-contractors, suppliers and volunteers.
