Food Lion, Wegmans, Costco, ALDI: MD Grocery Hours On Labor Day

MARYLAND — Whether you need more hot dogs for the kids or Old Bay for our crab boil, shoppers need to know if they can get what they need at Maryland grocery stores on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2. Most food stores in the region — Giant, Harris Teeter, Wegmans and Safeway — are open on the holiday, but check with individual stores for their hours.

Here's a list of Labor Day 2019 hours for Maryland grocery chains, taken from their websites and social media. Some stores may vary:

• Wegmans Food Markets: Stores will be open their normal business hours: 6 a.m. to midnight.
• Food Lion: All stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (depending on the store).
• Safeway: Open normal hours, most locations open 5 a.m. to midnight, some open 24 hours a day. Pharmacies will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Weis Markets: Stores open regular hours, which are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. for most stores. Pharmacies will close at 5 p.m.
• Giant Foods: Most stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.; pharmacies will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exception is stores at 6223 Baltimore National Pike, Catonsville, and 10400 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda, which will be open 24 hours, pharmacy included.
• Harris Teeter: Open normal hours, most stores open 24 hours.
• Trader Joe's: All stores open normal hours on Labor Day, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

• Whole Foods: Stores will be open; hours vary by location; it’s best for customers to check their local store hours online: https://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/list.
• ShopRite Supermarkets: Maryland stores will be open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Many ShopRite stores are independently owned and operated, so holiday hours will vary; check your local store's Facebook page or call the store to check hours.
• CVS: Hours vary significantly but most pharmacies close at 2 p.m. and MinuteClinics are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Fresh Market: Stores are open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• MOMs My Organic Market: Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• ALDI: All stores will be open limited hours on Labor Day, many from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The holiday hours for your local store can be found by using the store locator.
• Costco: All stores are closed on Sept. 2.
• Sam's Club: Stores will be open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Walmart: Stores will be open regular hours.
• Target: Store are open regular hours on Monday.
