Brush Fires Along I-695 Slowing Traffic

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A brush fire reportedly snarled traffic on the inner loop of Interstate 695 Tuesday afternoon in the Baltimore area. The incident was on I-695 near Chesaco Avenue.

The right shoulder and right lane were closed, transportation officials reported after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Additional fire engines were called to the scene, WBAL Radio reported around 3:45 p.m.

Traffic was backing up in the area.
