BCPS Updates Weather Decision For Wednesday
The Hereford Zone is closed. Baltimore County Public Schools will operate on a modified schedule Wednesday, Jan. 8.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — After announcing a two-hour delay, Baltimore County Public Schools issued an upate Wednesday morning that schools in the Hereford Zone will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 8.
All other schools and offices will continue to operate on a two-hour delay, according to a statement from Baltimore County Public Schools. Morning prekindergarten is canceled.
The delayed opening and closure follow reports of several inches of snow in Baltimore County. According to preliminary data submitted to the National Weather Service, 5 inches of snow fell Tuesday in Parkton and Bentley Springs, while Long Green saw 3 inches of snow and Reisterstown reported getting 2.6 inches.
