Essex Double Shooting: One Killed, One Injured, Police Say
Police said one man died in a shooting that left another injured Friday morning in Essex.

ESSEX, MD — Police said one man was killed and another injured in a shooting Friday morning in Essex. The double shooting remains under investigation, and there may be a reward for information in the case.
David Leroy King, 29, of the 2100 block of Westfield Avenue, was pronounced deceased at the scene, officials said.
King, who is a rapper by the name of "Dee Dave," was supposed to be headed to perform Friday night in Atlanta, according to WJZ, which reported he also worked as a contractor for BGE.

Another man was also found outside the home in the 900 block of Holgate Drive in Essex suffering from gunshot wounds, police reported. He was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police found the two men shot while responding to a call about a shooting at 5:11 a.m., officials said. They were reportedly in the parking lot of an apartment complex.
