Baltimore County Memorial Day 2020: What's Open, Closed
Parks will be open for Memorial Day, but some services remain closed. Parking meters are not in effect.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Baltimore County parks will remain open Monday while other services will be closed for Memorial Day. Courts and county offices will be closed, and people do not need to pay parking meters.
Post offices will be closed.
Libraries remain closed in Baltimore County due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Trash and recycling drop-off centers will be closed Monday, May 25. Drop-off facilities and collection periods will resume Tuesday, May 26.
Residents should consult their particular collection schedule to learn when to set out materials. Collections may occur later than usual during the week following Memorial Day. If a collection does not occur on the scheduled day during this period of time, materials should be left out until collection occurs.

Baltimore County Public Schools will not be distributing meals Monday, and remote learning will be on hiatus for the holiday as well.
There will be no MARC Train service on Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day. CountyRide will not be operating.

Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens has been canceled its Memorial Day ceremony due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"While we are deeply committed to honoring the service and sacrifice of the men and women of our Armed Forces, for the health and safety of our visitors during the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not conduct a public ceremony," President of Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens Jack Mitchell said in a statement.
A tribute video will be shared on the Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens website and Facebook page.
"We encourage people to remember the true meaning of the day and pause to reflect on the dedication of the military personnel who have died serving our country," Mitchell said. "They will not be forgotten and will be honored publicly at the 2021 Memorial Day ceremony."
Grounds members will plant 3,500 flags on the graves of those at the cemetery.
