1 Killed, 2 Injured In Baltimore Light Rail Crash, Officials Say

One of those injured in the wreck was a 7-year-old, according to the Baltimore Fire Department.

BALTIMORE, MD — Officials said a woman died and two others were injured in a light rail crash Thursday morning downtown. Two light rail trains and a car were involved.

Multiple people were trapped when crews arrived at the crash on North Howard at Mulberry streets, the Baltimore Firefighters IAFF Local 734 reported at 7:45 a.m., saying its crews were using special rescue tools to free them from the wreck.

"They were wedged in between the two light rails," Blair Adams, spokeswoman for the Baltimore Fire Department, said of the victims, at a news conference broadcast by WBFF.
