Maryland Coronavirus Deaths Pass 3,700; Cases Increase By 599

The Maryland Department of Health is reporting more than 117,000 confirmed cases of the virus statewide.

MARYLAND — There are 117,245 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Maryland, state health officials reported Tuesday, an increase of 599 in the past 24 hours. More than 3,700 people have died in the state from the virus, an increase of 10 in the last day.

As of Tuesday, officials said 371 people in Maryland were hospitalized with the virus, an increase of 24 in the last day as well.

Of those tested for the virus in the past seven days across Maryland, state health officials say an average of 3.62 percent were positive.
