BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore County police officer shot at a robbery suspect Tuesday afternoon during an investigation in Baltimore City, according to authorities. It was unclear whether the suspect was injured, and the officer was unharmed, police said.
Officers investigating multiple robberies in Baltimore County said their probe brought them to a hotel on Redwood Street in Baltimore City, according to Vickie Wareheim, spokesperson for the Baltimore County Police Department.
Around 2:15 p.m., officers from the robbery unit were planning to arrest two suspects in the 200 block of Redwood Street when they believe the individuals caught on and one drove at a Suburban, Wareheim said during a briefing livestreamed by WBFF.

After crashing into the Suburban police vehicle, officials said the suspect drove at a detective, who opened fire, The Baltimore Sun reported.
“We do not know if the round struck the suspect," Wareheim said. "That is still part of the investigation." The officer was uninjured, she added.
