Nominations Sought For Commission On Disabilities Awards
Nominations are being accepted now for the Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities' 2021 annual awards program.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Nominations are being accepted now through Sept. 3 for the Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities' 2021 annual awards program. Seven award categories will be considered involving activities related to education, employment, advocacy, volunteerism and accessibility.
The awards program recognizes the individual achievements of people with disabilities and activities undertaken by individuals, groups or organizations that contribute to the well-being and independence of people with disabilities.
“At all times, but particularly as we continue to struggle through this pandemic, it’s important we recognize individuals and organizations contributing to the vibrancy of our communities,” Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski said. “I heartily encourage county residents to consider nominating a worthy candidate for the awards, through which we honor individuals with disabilities and recognize people who sacrifice, persevere and help others.”
