Special Event At Sparrows Point HS Earns Award For BCPS-TV

The event challenges students to design and model clothing made from recycled and discarded goods​.

SPARROWS POINT, MD — An annual event held at Sparrows Point High School that challenges students to design and model clothing made from recycled and discarded goods has earned BCPS-TV an award. The television channel of Baltimore County Public Schools earned a bronze prize from the 41st Annual Telly Awards, the world’s largest award program for video and television content across all screens.

The Trashy Fashion Show at Sparrows Point High School was produced by Victor Medina, a BCPS-TV video technician. This is BCPS-TV’s third consecutive year winning a Telly and Medina’s second Telly win. BCPS-TV is available in Baltimore County on Comcast Xfinity channel 73 and Verizon FiOS channel 34. Its programming and live-streaming of events and meetings can also be found on the BCPS website and on Vimeo.
