Anne Arundel County Schools will open two hours late Thursday, Jan. 23, and dismiss on time, according to the school system's communications department.
Schools had been scheduled to dismiss two hours early Thursday.
"To accommodate secondary school semester exams, all schools will dismiss at their normal time – not two hours early – on January 23, " read the email.
Exam schedules had to be altered after weather caused schools to be closed two days this week.
Additionally, there will be no half-day pre-kindergarten or ECI classes, though students in full-day kindergarten will have class and should report for school two hours later than normal.
School system, state and county agencies will work to have roads and lots clear by the time school begins Thursday, but AACPS warns parents, students and employees to prepare for longer travel times in the morning.
AACPS also advises that parents and students to "take appropriate precautionary measures in order to address any walking or transportation challenges caused by weather conditions that may exist tomorrow morning."
