Beaver Rejects Fake Christmas Trees in Dollar Store
The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office received a call about a destructive, four-legged customer at the Dollar General store.
CHARLOTTE HALL, MD — A very particular customer walked into a Maryland Dollar General store and started rummaging through the aisles. Workers called police on the disgruntled shopper, which turned out to be a beaver that was unimpressed as it sniffed artificial Christmas trees and a Santa Claus knick-knack.
Dollar General store workers in Charlotte Hall on Monday called 911 after the four-legged shopper caused a ruckus, knocking some items off shelves and onto the floor.
The call to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s office said a suspect had caused property damage to the store and then tried to flee the area but was apprehended. Turns out, the troublemaker was a beaver that had wandered into the Dollar General store where it appears to have browsed a bit, may have nibbled on some items and tried to pick out a Christmas tree.
