Reverend Ramon E. McDonald, 84, of Annapolis. Died Tuesday. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Frances, his daughter and two sons. McDonald served as pastor at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Lothian.

Carolyn Jean Pappamihiel “Cornee”, 71, of West River and formerly of Edgewater, died Monday. Survived by her son, three step-daughters and her sister. Pappamihiel owned and operated the Country Home Assisted Living facility in Harwood. She enjoyed the water, fishing, spending time with family and her dogs.

Virginia S. Howells, 95, of Davidsonville, died Monday. Survived by her sister, brother and many nieces. Howells was an active member of the Davidsonville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and baking pies.

William Joseph Hufnell, 83, of Edgewater, died Saturday. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary, several children and two sisters. Hufnell served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He loved spending time with his family, running and participating in races.

William S. “Bill” Woolls, 88, of Edgewater, died Sept. 11. Survived by his wife, Fern. Woolls pursued a career in accounting and served as comptroller of National Capital Industries.

Barbara Jean Discenza, 67, of Harwood and formerly of Edgewater. Died on Sept. 10. Survived by her husband of 45 years, Walter, her daughter, brother and sister. Discenza spent her life as an outspoken advocate for natural child birth and breast feeding. “BJ” was also a certified EMT and an active member of on-call crews.

Dorothy “Dottie” Harris, 104, of Riva. Died on Sept. 9. Survived by her two daughters, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Harris lived in Mexico and Brazil for some time and has traveled to Europe, Africa and Latin American countries.
