On Feb. 5 the IHOP in Edgewater will celebrate National Pancake Day with free short stacks for all customers. The restaurant also hopes to raise $220,000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Maryland Chapter.
The highly anticipated event brings lots of eager customers to IHOP to enjoy free pancakes, and in lieu of paying for the pancakes IHOP is hoping patrons will make a donation to LLS.
The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, as well as improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
“The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is thankful to all of the IHOP staff, general managers and owners for their continued support of LLS and our mission,” said Jon Rosa, Maryland Chapter Executive Director in a release. “The dollars raised on National Pancake Day help to fund life-saving research and important patient programs and services."
On Feb. 5, LLS Volunteers will be on-site at all participating IHOPs to help collect donations and provide diners with information about LLS and its mission.
The Edgewater IHOP is located in the Village at Lee Airpark.
