Rude Ranch Animal Rescue hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday to open its Spay Spa & Neuter Nook.

February is National Spay and Neuter month, and according to Rude Ranch Animal Rescue, the nook was created with the goal of making spay/neuter services more affordable to pet owners who might not otherwise be able to sterilize their pets.

Rude Ranch president Kathy Evans said the event was a success and that many people came out to check out the new nook. Evans said Alley Cat Allies Co-Founder Becky Robinson and Acting County Executive John Hammond cut the ribbon and started the festivities on Sunday.
