1. Families Displaced by Lothian Fire Seek Community's Help
A two-alarm fire in Lothian destroyed a mobile home and severely damaged another one on Friday, displacing seven people, including a young mother and her 2-year-old child. In the aftermath that followed, close friends and families rallied around those displaced, seeking the community’s help in supporting those left without a home and clothing.

2. Strong is the New Skinny: CrossFit Hits Edgewater
Business partners John Klessinger and Erin Boensch have similar stories. They’re both 38 or older, and both are in the “best shape” of their lives. How is this possible? They’ll both tell you the same thing—CrossFit.  

3. Teens Plead Guilty in South County Firebombing Case
Two of the three teens accused of firebombing a home in Galesville  pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment on Friday before a Circuit Court judge in Annapolis, according to The Capital. Back in June, fire investigators arrested three teens for allegedly attempting to destroy a Galesville house with Molotov Cocktails.

Several men strutted around in elaborate bras Wednesday night as part of the first-ever “Bras for the Cause” fundraiser in Edgewater, benefiting local breast cancer patients.

A brand new dessert alternative opened in Edgewater last Thursday, offering families a hip and healthy dessert alternative. Sweet Frog, located at 3059 Solomons Island Rd. in the South River Crossing shopping center, is a new self-serve frozen yogurt shop with an emphasis on family and fun.
