Howard County Speed Camera Torched for Second Time
A speed camera in Glenelg has been vandalized for the second time in nine months, according to the Howard County Police Department.

The speed camera in the 14000 block of Burntwoods Road was reported damaged at 4:43 a.m. Wednesday, police said. The box housing the camera had been set on fire, police said. According to the report, there were no suspects.

In September, a speed camera was torched in the same location, near Glenelg High School.

The portable camera was one of two that police deployed at the beginning of the school year, which are rotated among 13 schools where the county's speed camera vans can't be used safely.
