Essex-Middle River Crime: Power Tools, DJ Equipment Stolen

Essex-Middle River Crime: Power Tools, DJ Equipment Stolen

Maryland Avenue, 500 block. Between 5 p.m., Sept. 16 and 4 p.m., Sept. 18. A burglar cut the lock on a garage and stole $8,010 worth of equipment, including a pressure washer, welder, saw, screw gun, drill, turntable, speakers, weed trimmer, hand truck and a hand saw.

North Marlyn Avenue, 800 block. Between 10 p.m., Sept. 2 and 2:30 a.m., Sept. 21. A coffee table and end table set were stolen from a fenced-in yard. The furniture had been left there while homeowners prepared to move in. The total value of the stolen furniture was estimated at $525.

Tace Drive, 1100 block. Between 9 p.m., Sept. 19. and 10:50 a.m., Sept. 20. A burglar shattered a rear window and stole an Acer laptop, a Squire bass guitar, an Xbox 360 and 20 Xbox 360 games.

South Hawthorne Road, unit block. Between 11 p.m., Sept. 19 and 4:45 p.m., Sept. 20. A 150 cc scooter (make and model unknown) was stolen from a backyard. The scooter was unsecured.

Firethorn Road, 2200 block. 11:45 p.m., Sept. 18. Five teens kicked in the back door of a home, entered, then were scared away by a resident.

Sandystone Road, 1100 block. 9:27 p.m., Sept. 18. A man approached a woman after she got out of her car, pointed a black handgun at her and demanded money. She said she had none. The man fled and told her not to contact police.

Langley Road, 1700 block. Between 2 p.m., Sept. 17 and 3:30 p.m., Sept. 18. A burglar broke a lock on a shed and took four Daiwa fishing tods, three Penn International rods and six Shimano rods.

North Stuart Street, 600 block. Between 10:30 a.m. and 4:20 p.m., Sept. 17. Cash, prescriptions and jewelry totaling $829 in value were stolen. The burglar entered by shattering a rear sliding door.

Turkey Point Road, 2100 block. Between 1:30 and 10:30 a.m., Sept. 16. At Bobby B's Place, a wall was spray-painted with a potentially inflammatory message.

Mansfield Road, 700 block. 4:25 p.m., Sept. 17. Two juveniles were walking across a footbridge when they were assaulted by two men. One of the men stole an iPhone. The men fled toward Southeastern Terrace.
