Guardrail Crash Kills Essex Woman: Police

Police said an Essex woman was killed in a crash early Sunday morning.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Police said an Essex woman died in a crash early Sunday morning off Philadelphia Road/MD 7. She drove head-on into a guardrail, officials reported.

At 3:47 a.m., police responded to the crash on Philadelphia Road near King Henry Circle.

Breaira Whitney Johnson, 22, of the 8800 block of Golden Tree Lane, was the only person in the SUV, police reported.

She crossed the center line and drove into oncoming traffic before hitting the guardrail, according to officials.

The Baltimore County Police Department's crash investigation team is handling the case.
