Brrrr! Weather Service Issues Freeze Watch for Harford
On Wednesday, snow that looked like "little marshmallows" fell in Garrett County out in western Maryland,  WUSA 9 reported, and other parts of the state will soon get a taste of the cold as well.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch for parts of Maryland, including Harford County, effective Thursday night into Friday morning.

A freeze watch means temperatures below freezing are possible, according to the National Weather Service, which cautioned that temperatures will be in the 30s and unprotected crops or plants could be killed.

Areas under the freeze watch include northern Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard and Montgomery counties, plus parts of Virginia.

In addition to the freeze watch, a small craft advisory is in effect through Thursday on the Chesapeake Bay.
