Fire Consumes Vacant Glen Burnie Cape Cod Home
Anne Arundel County firefighters battled a fire July 24 at a vacant Glen Burnie Cape Cod home that caused $100,000 in damage.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — A vacant home caught fire in Solley Heights July 24 at 2:01 a.m. causing an estimated $100,000 in damage to the structure. The one-story Cape Cod home, located at 478 Lincoln Dr., Glen Burnie, was almost completely consumed with fire by the time three dozen firefighters arrived.
It took emergency responders 10 minutes to contain the fire with additional time spent extinguishing hotspots and overhauling the home because it appeared to have been used for storage only, the fire department reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by members of the Anne Arundel County Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit.
