Anne Arundel County police are seeking information on the suspects in two separate attempted robberies in Glen Burnie on Saturday, according to a department press release.

Shortly before 5:40 p.m., one teen suspect approached the 15-year-old victim as he played basketball at Corkran Middle School, on the 7600 block of Quarterfield Road, police said.

According to police, the teen asked the victim about his shoes, then demanded the shoes and threatened to rob him, police said.

Two other teens surrounded the boy, but he was able to run away without injury or releasing his property, according to police.

Arriving officers searched the immediate area but failed to locate the suspects.

The second attempted robbery took place shortly after 8 p.m., in the parking lot of George Cromwell Elementary School, on the 500 block of Wellham Avenue, according to police.

A 27-year-old victim told police he was planning to meet someone to buy an iPhone, in response to an offer on Craigslist, when two men approached his vehicle, displayed a semi-automatic BB gun and demanded money. The suspect handling the BB gun fired a BB into the man's vehicle, then both suspects ran into the woods behind the school, police said.

Arriving officers searched the immediate area, but failed to locate the suspects.
