Police Arrest 16 People on Various Drug and Prostitution Charges

Anne Arundel County Police looked into reports of drug activity and prostitution at Budget Plaza Motel and Park Plaza Motel in Brooklyn Park and made 16 arrests in August.

Police Arrest 16 People on Various Drug and Prostitution Charges

Anne Arundel County Police arrested 16 people during the month of August after looking into complaints of drug activity and prostitution at two Brooklyn Park motels.

According to a police press release, officers conducted "Operation No Vacancy" during the month of August and served nine search-and-seizure warrants at Budget Plaza Motel and Park Plaza motel resulting in the 16 arrests. Detectives said they seized about 17 grams of suspected heroin, 30 grams of suspected cocaine, $1,143 in cash and drug paraphernalia.

Those arrested include , 24, of Annapolis, who overpowered a guard Sep. 1 after appearing at a hearing in District Court and escaped. Officers found him in the Admiral Heights neighborhood of Annapolis later that night.

He was arrested on a North Carolina warrant in which he was wanted in connection with a shooting and rape.

Others arrested during Operation No Vacancy include:

  • Denise Perry, 46, of Baltimore—charged with soliciting prostitution.
  • Shannon Lamont Oliver, 36, of Halethorpe—charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and served an outstanding warrant in Baltimore City.
  • Mia Denise Thompson, 46, of Glen Burnie—charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Lyle A. Lincoln, 53, of Huntingtown, MD—charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Jessica Lynn Amos, 29, of Baltimore—charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and served an arrest warrant out of Baltimore City.
  • Antron Trimitrious Bulow, 30—charged with possession of phencyclidine (PCP) and served a warrant for robbery, burglary and assault. He is a resident of Odenton, according to court records.
  • Jessica Marie Vernon, 22, of Glen Burnie—charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and was served on a Baltimore City warrant.
  • Welford Elroy Keemer, 38, of Severna Park—served three warrants for failture to appear on auto theft charges.
  • John Michael Fuhrer, 29—charged with distribution of heroin, possession of heroin, cocaine and "look-a-like heroin" and possession of paraphernalia. He is a resident of Halethorpe, according to court records.
  • Paul Madore, 23, of Baltimore—charged with disorderly conduct, destruction of property, faiure to obey a lawful order and second-degree assault, according to court records.
  • Kenneth M. Carpenter, 47—charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana and possession drug paraphernalia. Police listed Carpenter as living at Park Plaza Motel, according to court records.
  • Leroy Scott, 63, of Baltimore—charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Mary Hegazi, 38, of Baltimore—charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession drug paraphernalia.
  • Angela Marie Tyndall, 31, of Brooklyn Park—charged with soliciting prostitution.
  • Melanie Dawn Wengert, 30, of Glen Burnie—charged with soliciting prostitution and possession drug paraphernalia.
