Police Seize $7,000 in Cocaine From Pair in Glen Burnie

Anne Arundel County police arrested a man and woman from Pasadena in a traffic stop that ultimately led officers to find $7,000 in cocaine at a hotel in Glen Burnie on Monday night.

Between April and May, detectives received a tip that two people were distributing cocaine between Glen Burnie and Pasadena. At approximately 7 p.m. on Monday, police conducted a traffic stop of the two suspects described in the tip, on Route 10 near Furnace Branch Road.

Police arrested both occupants, and obtained a warrant to search a room in a Glen Burnie hotel.

Officers seized approximately 70 grams of cocaine inside the hotel room, valued at $7,000 along with $800 in cash.

Police charged Stephen Wayne Rodey, 44, and Dawn Denise Samuel, 39, with possession of a narcotic with intent to distribute, drug possession not marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
