Boat Fire At Susquehanna Flats Draws Multiple Crews To HdG: SHCO

BREAKING: Fire officials in Havre de Grace said that everyone on the boat was OK after a fire near the Chesapeake Bay.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A boat fire near Susquehanna Flats broke out Tuesday night, officials said. The Susquehanna Hose Company reported that its crews and others responded to the call for help.

The fire was out and all those aboard were OK, the Susquehanna Hose Company reported after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Its crew aboard the fire boat located the vessel in question, officials said.

The Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps and Susquehanna Hose Company's land-based crews were standing by at Tydings Park, according to the hose company.

Crews from Charlestown and Water Witch as well as Maryland Natural Resources Police, the U.S. Coast Guard and a medevac had also been dispatched to the scene when the call first came in, the Susquehanna Hose Company reported.
