4 Firearms Stolen from Home Safe: HdG Police Blotter
The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information.
Police said a shotgun, two .22-caliber rifles and a black powder rifle were taken from a residence in the 100 block of Deaver Street. The theft was reported at at 9:37 p.m. on Wednesday.
On Thursday morning, police said charges were pending against the suspect, who knew the victim and had previously been given permission to enter the home.
Although the firearms had not yet been recovered, officers said they knew where they were and were in the process of retrieving them.
A Nintendo Wii was also reported stolen from the home, the whereabouts of which were unknown.
A passenger stiffed a taxi driver on a $40 fare in the 600 block of Franklin Street, reported at 9:08 a.m. on Jan. 7. Police referred the driver, who knew the suspect, to the commissioner.
Medication was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Brian Garth, reported at 7:49 a.m. on Jan. 7.
An individual reported that she was assaulted by a patient in the 1500 block of Blenheim Farm Lane at 10:12 p.m. on Jan. 4. Police said no problem was found.
A 45-year-old man from the 800 block of Erie Street was charged with second-degree assault after he pushed his wife, resulting in a cut on her face. The woman declined medical transport after the domestic dispute, which was reported at 9:13 p.m. on Jan. 2. When officers attempted to place the man under arrest, he became combative; as a result, one officer used a Taser to subdue him so police could take him into custody.
Three people reportedly went into a shed to smoke drugs around 4 p.m. on Jan. 7 in the 500 block of North Adams Street. Police said no problem was found.
Possible drug activity involving vehicles was reported on North Freedom Lane at 10:06 p.m. on Jan. 4. Police said no problem was found.
A motor vehicle in the 1100 block of Oak Tree Terrace was tampered with, reported at 2:14 p.m. on Jan. 7.
Vandalism to a house in the 100 block of Wilfong Court was reported at 2:10 p.m. on Jan. 5.
A house in the 200 block of Heather Way was reportedly vandalized on Friday night, Jan. 3.
