1 Killed in I-95 Crash Near Perryville
Lane closures were in effect for nearly four hours.
At 11:16 a.m., a dump truck and tractor-trailer collided just north of the Route 222 overpass, according to The Aegis , which reported one person died and nobody was transported.
The Cecil Whig reported that at least one of the vehicles caught fire in the crash, and the tractor-trailer was carrying jersey walls.
All lanes of I-95 were completely shut down at MD Route 222 until 12:10 p.m., when the fast lane reopened.
By 2:30 p.m., two left lanes were open, while the slow lane and the on-ramp to I-95 north from Perryville were closed. Traffic was stacked up to the Tydings Bridge toll plaza.
By 3 p.m., The Aegis reported the scene had cleared and all lanes were open.
