Tractor-Trailer Crash Closed Route 22 Ramp

Officials said truck went off road on Interstate 95, drawing hazmat team and fire crews.

The ramp from Interstate 95 north to MD Route 22 was closed for approximately six hours Saturday due to a tractor-trailer crash, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Fire crews and the hazardous materials team were called to the area south of Havre de Grace, where a tractor-trailer had gone off the road and was spilling fuel, the association reported.

The northbound off ramp from I-95 to Route 22 was closed shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday, according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART).

A wrecker was at the scene after 4 p.m. to help recover the vehicle, and the ramp to Route 22 remained closed, officials said.

By 7:15 p.m., the ramp had reopened.
