Police with a cadaver dog combed through a Laurel apartment complex looking for evidence in a gruesome murder after a man’s body and body parts were found in two bags.
The Prince George’s County Police Department blog says officers were called to the 8800 block of Enfield Court about 9:20 a.m. Sunday for a report of a body found in a bag. Once on scene officers discovered a second bag with body parts inside. Detectives believe the victim to be an adult male.
The victim’s identity and cause of death have not been released.
On Sunday afternoon, detectives, along with a cadaver dog, searched the apartment complex for additional evidence. In addition, the department’s current academy class conducted a late afternoon grid search of the scene.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and a suspect in the case.
