March Trial Set for Man in Road Rage Killing

March Trial Set for Man in Road Rage Killing
A New Jersey police officer accused of killing a motorist following a road rage dispute on Route 3 will stand trial in March.

A judge in Anne Arundel Circuit Court said the trial for Joseph Lamont Walker will be scheduled for March 10 and is expected to last eight days.

Walker, a Mt. Holly, NJ resident, is accused of fatally shooting Joseph Dale Harvey on June 8 after the two men had a traffic dispute heading north on Route 3 in Millersville. He was originally charged with second-degree murder but a grand jury later upped the charged to premeditated murder.

Walker has claimed he acted in self defense.
