UPDATED  2:05 p.m. Feb. 28: Baltimore County Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man who went missing from his group home early Tuesday morning.

James White, 64, was last seen at his group home in the 9200 block of Leigh Choice Court in Owings Mills between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m., at which time staff members found the front door open, according to a Baltimore County Police press release.

White (photo attached), is described as a black male, 5’7’’, 186 pounds, with brown eyes and bald. He is non-verbal and may not be able to find his way home, the release said.

White shuffles his feet when he walks and walks hunched over. He does not understand that he has to pay for things at stores and may get accused of shoplifting, police said.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat with white lettering, a black jacket with leather arms, gray dress pants and black and white shoes. Police don’t know what direction he traveled in, and he does not have access to a vehicle and doesn’t use the MTA, the release said.
