Landfill Fire in White Marsh Drew Hazmat Response

Baltimore and Harford County firefighters responded to a landfill blaze in White Marsh Sunday night that potentially involved hazardous materials, according to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company.

Heavy fire and smoke were showing when crews arrived at the Eastern Sanitary Landfill, according a report from the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Hazardous materials may have been involved, according to the report.

The fire was knocked by 8 p.m., according to the fire company, which said there were no injuries as a result.
